Three women were taken to the hospital with injuries that they suffered when the passenger minibus in which they travelled collided with a car at the intersection of Dacia Blvd and Trandafirilor St in Chisinau in the morning of April 18.

Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati has told IPN it was preliminarily established that the driver of the minibus running on route No. 112 changed lanes to the contraflow one. The women were rushed to the Emergency Medicine Institute and the severity of their injuries is being determined.

An investigation is under way to find out who of the drivers is to blame. If the injuries are minor, the guilty driver will be punished with a fine of 1,500 lei and six penalty points. If the injuries are moderate or severe, the driver will be investigated criminally.
