Three flood-stricken villages of Orhei district to get 1m lei

The recent rain caused serious damage to the inhabitants of Donici, Camenca and Sămănanca villages of Orhei descript. About 80 lots of farmland, almost 20 houses and several road sections were affected in Donici and Camencea. In Sămănanca, there were destroyed seven orchards and a number of road sections. The damage was estimated at 1 million lei, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.

Prime Minister Pavel Filip on May 23 visited the three villages, informing the inhabitants that the Government will allocate 1 million lei for offsetting the damage caused by the recent rain. “All the documents are being prepared and in the next Cabinet meeting we will approve the allocation of aid for the affected localities,” stated Pavel Filip.

The same day, the Premier discussed with residents of Teleșeu village, where the water tower was recently put into operation after renovation. As many as 240 households, the kindergarten, the school and the health center of the village will have now running water. A sum of 250,000 lei was allocated from the state budget for repairing the water tower.

Pavel Filip also visited the cattle farm in Pocnești. This was created by a family that worked abroad and decided to start an own business, at a cost of 10 million lei. The farm employs nine persons who look after 100 purebred cows.
