Three European Premiers to visit Moldova in September

The Prime Ministers of Poland, Luxembourg and Greece will visit the Republic of Moldova between September 4 and 16. The Government’s Communication Division said that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will be the first to come to Moldova, on September 4, IPN reports.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean will welcome his Polish counterpart at 03:30 p.m. The two officials will have a bilateral meeting that will be followed by an extended meeting of the delegations of the two states. At 04:30 p.m., the two officials will give a joint press conference.

During the visit, the Prime Minister of Poland will also have meetings with President Maia Sandu and Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu. In Parliament, Donald Tusk will deliver a speech at a festive sitting that will start at 06:30 p.m.

The visit by the Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Luc Frieden was scheduled for September 12-13. The Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic Kyriakos Mitsotakis will arrive in Chisinau on September 16.

The Communication Division noted that the visits by the European officials demonstrate the partners’ support for the path of modernization and European integration of the Republic of Moldova.
