Three children that lost their parents and house in a fire need help
About a year ago, on a March day, Nicolae, Ion and Marina Ciornea from Sarata Galbena village, Hancesti district, lost their parents in a merciless fire. Their house burnt to the ground. The three orphans need aid from kind-hearted people to build a shelter and gain hope in the future.
The seven-year-old Nicolae is a first grader at the school in Sarata Galbena. Ion and Marina, aged 14 and 15, go to the boarding school and in the evening return to the house where they took refuge after their parents’ death. After burying the daughter, the grandmother assumed overall responsibility for the three kids. Eudochia Palamari desperately wants her grandchildren to have a shelter and a bright future. The old woman asked the local administration to help the family to purchase a house. Not for her, but for the children, said the 65-year-old woman.
After the fire, the children and the grandmother moved to live in the house of the eldest son of Eudochia Palamari, who also has a family, a kid. The four of them live in one room in this house that is in dire need of repair.
According to the deputy head of Hancesti District Council Igor Turcanu, the local authorities made everything possible to help the family that is in difficulty, but the funds earmarked in the district budget for such purposes are limited. However, the aid provided by the administration, the orphan’s allowance of 200 lei given to the children and the pension of the grandmother of 500 lei are not enough for a decent living and for building a shelter.
The public organisation EveryChild in Moldova launched a campaign to sensitise the people and raise funds for building or purchasing a house for the three kids and their grandmother. Anatol Mamaliga, PR manager of EveryChild in Moldova, told Info-Prim Neo that the generous people can make donations at all the branches of Mobiasbank in the country into the accounts: [Bank Code: MOBBMD22749, Mobias Banca, branch No.9 (Centru), in MDL: 22514004989929; in EUR: 22246009785044.] The people can also donate building materials, furniture, domestic appliances that the three orphans need badly. The aid will be conveyed to the children through the agency of EveryChild and of the mayor’s office of Sarata Galbena, which are ready to cooperate with all the organisations, legal entities and individuals that want to help Nicolae, Ion and Marina to obtain a home and a family atmosphere.
