Three brothers aged 7, 9 and 11 drowned in a pond in Pohrebeni village of Orhei district on May 27. Rescuers looked for them throughout night. After almost 12 hours of searches, the bodies of the boys aged 9 and 11 were recovered this morning. The body of the third brother hasn’t been yet found.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, the children were seen in a boat crossing the pond. Later, their clothes were found on the bank of the pond. The rescuers were called out at about 6pm on May 27.
The three brothers formed part of a family with five children.
