Three caught robbing office in Chisinau
Three men were caught in the act as they were robbing an office in Chisinau. It happened on Wednesday night. Interior Ministry spokeswoman Ala Meleca says the suspects wore masks and had weapons, Info-Prim Neo reports.
They intruded an office of a company, armed with a gas pistol and a knife. They took a Baikal gun, 200 euros, Romanian and Moldovan money and other goods. They beat up two watchmen, injuring one of them with the knife. The robbery was filmed by the cameras in the office.
The aggressors were caught up at the exit. The police tapped the suspects for about 72 hours, after the authorities were notified about the planned robbery.
The suspects came from the Transnistrian area by a taxi. Two of them are recidivists, and one is a minor, said the spokeswoman.
If found guilty, they may stay up to 15 years in jail.
