Three academicians to mark jubilees in May

Anatol Ciobanu, Gheorghe Paladi and Constantin Popovicii of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova will turn 75, 80 and, respectively, 85 in May, Info-Prim Neo reports. Academician Anatol Ciobanu is a renowned researcher in linguistics and sociolinguistics. Doctor in Obstetrics and Gynecology, academician Gheorghe Paladi has 10 patents on inventions. He is a member of the European Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology and of the Executive Board of the International Society of Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Medicine, a member of the Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Romania and of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population. On May 21, academician Constantin Popovici will reach 85. Popovici is well-known for the results achieved in universal literature, Eminescology, folkloristics and history of literature. He is the author of over 500 studies published in the country and abroad, including 50 books and monographs.
