Thousands of people attended “Gustar” Festival in Orheiul Vechi

The fourth International Festival “Gustar” brought together thousands of people to the Orheiul Vechi reserve on August 24-25. The participants included artistic groups from the country and abroad and a number of officials, IPN reports.

This year the festival incorporated a handicrafts fair, an interactive workshop with craftsmen, trips through the reserve, tasting events, etc.

Among the participants were Prime Minister Iurie Leanca and his two sons, who discussed with those attending the festival, took group pictures and bought handicrafts.

“This is a nice event that aims to promote the picturesque places of Moldova. The festival “Gustar” has specific features, while the complex “Orheiul Vechi” makes those attending to remember the historical past,” stated Iurie Leanca.

The festival also involved party colleagues of the Premier, including Vasile Bumacov, Deputy Speaker Liliana Palihovici, MP Maria Ciobanu and the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Vlad Filat, who is the festival’s patron.

“This year, we are able to see the talent, work and devotion of our people. I’m glad that this nice event is now better organized and is attended by more people, including from abroad,” said Vlad Filat.

Within the event, the head of the Tourism Agency Nicolae Platon handed over a diploma to the Liberal-Democratic leader for contribution to developing the national tourism and for the good organization of the cultural event “Gustar”.

The event’s organizer Vlad Constandoi said that this year the festival was better organized from logistic viewpoint. “It includes several areas: for children, for books, for recreational activities, etc. This is very convenient for the victors,” he stated.
