About 70,000 annual flowers have been planted on the arteries and central parks of Chisinau by workers of the municipal Green Areas Managing Association.

Contacted by IPN, the Association’s head Eliferii Haruta said that flowers were planted on the boulevards Stefan cel Mare si Sfant, Dacia, Albisoara, and Sculeni. They were bought from a nursery that took part in the tender contest.

At the first stage, there were planted such sorts of annual flowers as petunias and ageratums. Eliferii Haruta said the next flower planting stage will take place in August, before the Language Day and the Independence Day.
