Private individuals who intend to redirect 2% of the income tax in favor of a public organization will have to present tax returns to the State Tax Inspectorate. The Legal Resources Center of Moldova will launch a guidebook that will explain the procedure.
Ilie Chirtoaca, legal adviser of the Legal Resources Center, has told IPN that the allocation of 2% of the income tax is possible only after the tax return (Form CET15) is submitted. This can be done between January 1 and April 30, 2017.
A pre-completed tax return statement can be presented. When the person does not possess information about his incomes, this goes to the State Tax Inspectorate and specialists of the local offices insert the information from their database. The person only signs this statement.
Ilie Chirtoaca does not believe that the requirement to submit tax returns will discourage the persons from redirecting 2% of the income tax to a nongovernmental organization. The population is rather unwilling to go to the State Tax Inspectorate, but the practical procedure became very simple.
