The persons who want to benefit from a reassessed pension as of August 1 this year must file an application to this effect by July 31. If they do not manage to for different reasons in July, they can do it the next months. The law stipulates the reviewed pension is provided from the month coming after the month that an application is submitted. The recipients who want to have their pensions reexamined will be also served on July 11 and 18, which were declared working days for the local offices of the National House of Social Insurance. The working program for these days is from 7am to 4pm, IPN reports.
In a press briefing, Elena Țîbîrnă, director general of the National House of Social Insurance, said the right to have the pensions reviewed as of July 1 this year is enjoyed by the persons whose pension was set after January 1, 1999 and have an insurance period of at least ten years after the pension was set.
Under the current regulations, the right is obtained after submitting an application to the local house of social insurance by attaching the identity card and the employment record book. If the employment record book is absent, the person must consent to the use of data from the State Individual Records Register.
It was estimated that over 13,500 persons are eligible to the reexamination of pensions. More than 7,800 applications have been submitted by July 8, which is practically 50% of those eligible. 50% of the applications were filed by residents of the municipality of Chisinau.
According to Elena Țîbîrnă, the local houses of social insurance work at full capacity from 7am until 5pm. All the desks are functional, including those that serve other categories of people. The National House of Social Insurance ensures public health protection measures for the visitors as regards masks and disinfectants and maintaining of social distancing.
