Traffic on the national roads in Moldova continues to encounter difficulties. Many roads are still impassable. Until now the rescuers unblocked 30 vehicles with about 50 persons that got stuck near Paladia village of Ocnita district. Twenty persons from a bus that remained blocked near Arionesti village of Donduseni district and from a number of cars that became trapped on the Orhei-Rezina road were taken to shelters, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Ministry of the Interior. According to the authorities, the roads in Rascani, Glodeni, Sangerei, Falesti, Floresti, Edinet, Briceni, Ocnita, Donduseni, Soroca, and Drochia districts are hardly drivable. Many vehicles blocked on these roads, including ambulances, had been towed. Eighteen settlements of Hancesti, Rascani, Sangerei, Falesti, and Floresti districts experience power outages. The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service repeatedly calls on the people not to travel in such difficult weather conditions as they expose themselves to the risk of getting stuck. Those who remain blocked on the national or local roads are asked not to leave their vehicles so as not to prevent the snow removal works form advancing.
