Thirty students of Tiraspol school “Lucian Blaga” will go to camp in Romania

Thirty students of the Tiraspol-based high school “Lucian Blaga“ will take part in a Romanian culture and civilization camp themed “First Stop: Romania” that is organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute. The program of the camp for August 9-21 includes fact-finding visits to Iasi, Suceava, Brasov and Constanta counties, with stops at historical and cultural sights, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Romanian Cultural Institute. During two weeks, the children will participate in literature, folklore, theater and pottery workshops and watch Romanian movies in the evening. On August 17, they will see the pantomime performance “Contrasts” by actors Dana Cavaleru and Richard Bovnoczki at the Summer Theater in Navodari. According to the Romanian Cultural Institute, 82% of the schools in the Transnistrian region are Russian language schools, 13.5% are Romanian language schools that use the Cyrillic script, 3.8% are Romanian language schools using the Latin script, while 7% are Ukrainian language schools.
