The third new trolleybus assembled in Chisinau in cooperation with Belkommunmash Company in Minsk, Belarus, will be put on route this week. Gheorghe Morgoci, head of the Chisinau Electrical Transport Company (RTEC), said that the new vehicle will run on route 22. Other two trolleybuses are being assembled and will be put on routes 1 and 8 until August 10. Previously, the Chisinau City Hall had bought 102 trolleybuses from Belkommunmash as part of a project for the modernization of public transport in Chisinau Municipality. The project is financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank and the European Union. The trolleybuses assembled in Chisinau cost €135,000, which is €10,000 less than the ones bought from the factory in Minsk.
