The attempt to hide the killing of Sorin Paciu was made because some of the managers of law enforcement bodies consider that they are above the law and everything is permitted to them, the chairman of the Republican People’s Party (PPR) Nicolae Andronic said. Asked by Info-Prim Neo to assess the way the competent bodies dealt with this case, Nicolae Andronic said that these managers don’t understand that they are those who should show how the law is obeyed, Info-Prim Neo reports. “As a former employee of the Prosecutor’s Office, I have several questions for the prosecutor general. Why not all the proofs were examined at the place of the accident? Why a report on the on-the-spot examination wasn’t compiled? Why the guns weren’t sequestrated for examination? Why those who took part in the hunting weren’t asked to give blood to see if they consumed alcohol? Any student of the Law Faculty who knows the law would have done this,” said the politician. Nicolae Andronic also said that the steps taken by Head of Parliament Marian Lupu were inappropriate as, by his appeal not to politicize this case, he tried to shut everyone down. “I do not politicize. I do not care who this prosecutor represents. But they tried to hide this case. The problem of politicization does not matter. It is the image of the senior officials that matters and what instructions they give in such a hot period to assess the situation,” he stated. The people found out about the hunting in the Domneasca Forest that resulted in the death of Sorin Paciu in two weeks, when politician Sergiu Mocanu accused Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubko of the killing. The Prosecutor’s Office started a criminal case over unintentional killing against former vice president of the Chisinau Court of Appeals Gheorghe Cretu.
