Unaffiliated MP Mihai Godea said that tricks in the style of the famous illusionist David Copperfield were used on December 16 when presidential elections were held in Parliament. “It is not yet clear how that invalidated ballot got into the ballot box and who put it there. I wish them success in solving this mystery,” the MP said in a press briefing on Monday, before the legislature’s sitting, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mihai Godea said that he did not show his ballot as he obeyed all the legal norms. “I did not show it because I did not want to take part in the comedy staged Friday here. The vote I cast was outside the political games. It was for the AEI’s candidate and was in accordance with the legal provisions and the special commission’s decision. The decision to show the ballots was taken under the pressure of the distrust of the AEI and of the distrust of the Dodon group,” said the lawmaker. He also said that absolutely intuitively he folded the ballot on December 16 (the invalidated ballot wasn’t folded – e.n.). Before the December 16 elections, Mihai Godea said he will take part in the presidential elections if the ten conditions put forward by him are fulfilled. According to the MP, the PDM and PL accepted these conditions.
