There’ll be enough money for Parliament renovation, Finance Minister
Minister of Finance Veaceslav Negruta says that after the first auction for the sale of state securities to obtain 200 million lei needed for the the renovation of the Parliament building, loans totaling 17 million lei were attracted from commercial banks, reports Info-Prim Neo.
“Today the Official Gazette published the amendments to the 2012 State Budget. One of the amendments, as it is known, stipulates the issuance of state securities for said sum through commercial banks’ subscription to them. Thus, next week another auction will be organized, and then others will follow”, he specified.
Negruta added that the Minister of Regional Development and Constructions has presented the work plan, and works summing to 100 million lei are scheduled for August.
“There will be money, for now most important is to focus all technical and human resources and to finish the works within the deadlines”, he added.
Previously, it was announced that the renovation works for the Parliament building, which was ravaged during the events of April 2009, will have been finished by the end of this year.
