There is a lot of principledness in what the current government of Moldova does in relation to the Russian Federation, regardless of the conjuncture priorities of the current government, said experts invited to the program ”Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.

“It seems to me that what the current government does in relation to Moscow is a good line that deserves to be continued. This does not refer to President Dodon who, regrettable, breaks this institutional solidarity,” said political analyst Anatol Taranu. According to him, this thing damages the relations with the Russian Federation because the effect of the policy of principledness diminishes.

Political analyst Victor Gurau said it is for the first time that the Republic of Moldova has a systemic approach to the Transnistrian issue and the relations with Russia. “An approach in the state principles to respect the own sovereignty is noticed. I think this warning of Chisinau wasn’t issued for Moscow because this never obeys,” stated Victor Gurau.

Alexandru Popescu, colonel in reserve of the Security and Intelligence Service, said the biggest danger is now witnessed inside the country, not outside it and it is rather improbable that the Russian Federation will take cognizance of Moldova’s requests.

Media analyst Cristian Tabara said the events that will be staged in the Transnistrian region on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the institution of the peacekeeping mission there are aimed at further dividing the internal political institutions of Moldova, at transmitting a propagandistic message to Russia and at giving a signal to those from the Transnistrian region.

On July 26, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova summoned Russia’s Ambassador in Chisinau and warned this about the inadmissibility of participation by Russian officials in the festivities organized unilaterally by the unrecognized Transnistrian administration.
