There are serious divisions within PCRM's ranks, Victor Osipov

The electoral staff of the Communists Party (PCRM) faces serious divisions, said the first vice president of the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) Victor Osipov, who is running as a candidate for MP in the November 28 early legislative elections, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a news conference, Victor Osipov said a person brought a memory card to the AMN' head office, which contains a database about the organizational structure of the PCRM, the system of dues used by the party, information about migration to the party, the PCRM's monitoring of the actions of other parties. He also said that a CD brought to the AMN includes videos of a meeting of a group of PCRM campaigners from Durlesti town, who drink alcohol in the morning. The videos show how they later had an altercation with a police patrol that established the driver of the group of campaigners was drunk. One of the leaders of the group threatened the police officers with dismissal immediately after the November 28 elections. Victor Osipov considers that the given information could be given only by members of the PCRM. According to the first vice president of the AMN, it is clear that there are serious divisions within the party's ranks if its members provide such information to the opponents. Rivalry and competition are now at their height in the PCRM, Osipov said. He stressed that such behavior shows how some of the representatives of the Communists can get to the hospital, referring to the case of the former head of the Security and Information Service Artur Reshetnikov, who said he had been kidnapped and tortured into providing information discrediting the Communist leader Vladimir Voronin.
