Therapy through reading for children from Oncology Institute
Children from the Oncology Institute will undergo therapy through reading. At the sessions that will take place every Thursday, librarians will read the children tales. The project supported by the Charity Social-Medical Foundation “Angelus Moldova” is at the incipient stage, Info-Prim Neo reports
Irina Dragutanu, PR manager of “Angelus Moldova”, said the children receiving treatment in the Oncopediatry and Hematology sections will be read tales during two hours and will be engaged in different interactive games. The children older than ten will watch movies and will be read such novels as “Ion” by Liviu Rebreanu and “Mara” by Ioan Slavici.
Interactive meetings with different book authors from Moldova will be organized in the future. “Angelus Moldova” will train and provide psychoemotional support to the persons who will go to play with the hospitalized children.
The project is implemented by “Angelus Moldova" in concert with the municipal library “Onisifor Ghibu" and the Oncology Institute. It supports cultural activities intended for all the groups of people, including those who have limited access to public libraries.
