“The wolves” barely overcome Olimpia Balti

The “Dacia” Chisinau Football Club, supported by a numerous gallery, defeated on Saturday, September 9, FC „Olimpia” Balti with 1 - 0. FC Dacia was rather passive in the first half, and „Olimpia” pushed on to Mihai Moraru’s gate. „Olimpia” scored a goal even, that got cancelled because of the offside position. In the second half FC „Dacia” kept the pressure on the opponents, and in the 57th minute the Macedonian Ilia Sasanski scored the winning goal after a pass from the captain of the “wolves”, midfielder Andrei Martin. The end of the game saw a pretty tense encounter, with “Olimpia” trying to equalize on a number of occasions. Despite all these, the “dacs” continued to attack, and in the last minutes of the game, the Portuguese forward Miguel Lopez came onto the field (87th min.) and went close to scoring a second goal. The FC “Dacia” Chisinau coach, Emil Caras, declared himself satisfied with the result, but said that a 2-0 victory would have been even better, and this because his players had more opportunities to score. Caras qualified the game as a difficult one, specifying that FC “Olimpia” played pretty well and is a worthy opponent for the other teams. The Dacia captain was also dissatisfied with the result. Andrei Martin said that, in the second half, the “dacs” could have scored a second goal since they had a number of dangerous shots on goal. The game took place on the Republican Stadium and was part of the 10th day of the Moldovan National Championship. Next, FC Dacia Chisinau will host FC Zimbru on Thursday, September 14, at 19.00, on the Republican Stadium.
