Arsenium, Natalia Gordienko and Conect-R that represented Moldova at the international Eurovision song contest with the song „Loca” came 20 out of 24 places. The song „Loca” gained 22 points, of which 12 points offered by Romania, three points by Portugal and Russia, 2 points offered by Spain and one point each by Israel and Turkey. As a result, Moldova loses the right to perform directly in the final. This year, Moldova has qualified in the final stage of the contest due to the 6th place obtained in the last year, in Kiev, by the troop „Zdob si Zdub”. At the edition of this year, Moldovan gave the maximum score (12 points) to the song „Tornero” performed by Mihai Traistariu (Romania), that took the 4th place. The Russian singer Dima Bilan, received 10 points from Moldova and 8 from the neighbouring Ukraine. This year’s winner of Eurovision is the Finnish heavy metal troop Lordi that gained 292 points. The second place was taken by the Russian singer, Dima Bilan with 248 points and the 3d place by the band Hari Mata Hari from Bosnia-Herzegovina with 229 points.
