The Ministry of Education and Research has named 49 students of Roma ethnicity who will receive merit scholarships from the state. The winners were selected following a competition organized by the Interethnic Relations Agency.
Valentina Olaru, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Research, said she hoped this example will motivate other young men and women, so that in the 2024-2025 academic year the number of scholarship recipients will increase to reach the proposed number of 120 beneficiaries.
Nicolae Rădița, deputy director of the Interethnic Relations Agency, urged the beneficiaries to remain eager for knowledge, to continue their studies, adding that the Moldovan Government will continue to support them.
