{Ion Cebanu, Chisinau,} says that all those who come to power only care about filling their own pockets and never care about ordinary people. “I pity our country for reaching its 20th anniversary are not knowing which way to go: either Europe or the CIS. I guess that not even after another 20 years Moldova will be in the European Union. As for the parade, this is a bad custom borrowed from the Russians; this is pouring money down the drain, you know”.
{Angela Ursan, Calarasi district,} says that in Moldova everyone cares about their own interests. “The politicians have followed their own narrow interests, and not those of the people, and this is why the country is experiencing so many problems. Moldova is a small country and all the problems can be solved easily, but the biggest problem is the government”, said she, adding: “I loved the parade and I think that it was right to hold such an event on the 20th anniversary of independence”.
{Maria Ursachi, Straseni,} thinks that Moldova is little by little moving towards Europe. “Although at a crawl, Moldova is moving towards Europe, where our country should have been a long time ago. I am very glad that today, when our country celebrates 20 years of independence, they organized this parade, making people cheerful”. “I think that in 20 years Moldova will be an economically prosperous country. And I hope that all the migrant workers will eventually return home”.
{Constantin Boldurescu, Balti,} thinks that Moldova has regressed in these two decades. “Moldova should have stayed in the USSR. We had a good living then, and now we suffer deprivation”. “I liked the parade, I've missed such demonstrations”.
{Adriana Cirimpei, Cahul} says that in 20 years of independence Moldova has made little progress. “Moldova belongs in the EU; everybody says this, but everybody hardly moves a finger. I hope that in the next 20 years we gain membership in this international organization, but I doubt this will happen”. “I liked the parade, it's the first time I see such an event with my own eyes”.
