The IMF stands ready to support the continuation of the reform process once a new government is formed

The International Monetary Fund stands ready to support the continuation of the reform process in Republic of Moldova once a new government is formed. Statements in this regard were made by Ruben Atoyan, IMF's Mission Chief for Moldova, IPN reports.

Moreover, the IMF commends the government led by PM Sandu for taking decisive measures to advance reforms supported by the International Monetary Fund. " IMF staff is monitoring the situation closely to assess implications of recent developments for the IMF-supported program and the outlook for external financing," the statement said.

The Cabinet of Ministers led by Prime Minister Maia Sandu was dismissed on Tuesday, November 12. The censure motion submitted by the Socialist Party group was voted by 63 MPs of the PSRM and the Democratic Party. Parliamentarians from the Șor Party group abstained from voting, while those from the ACUM Bloc voted against.
