Tania Dumbrava, a young writer from Moldova, launched her first poetry book that describes her inner world and is like a self-portrait. She says the book “The Girl from Prague” depicts her as a little, modest girl who became a lady from Prague over time. When presenting her first book at the Cartier Bookshop No.9 on February 10, Tania was encouraged and congratulated by her friends, colleagues and writers, Info-Prim Neo reports. Tania said she began to think about writing a book in 2008, after she won a contest of poetry manuscripts. ““The Girl from Prague” is a little girl who grew older while writing poems and became a lady from Prague. It is a selfish book about me and my inner world. I wrote about the feelings I had at at school,” she said. Competing with the poetry book “The Girl from Prague” in the National Literary Contest “Iulia Hasdeu” organized by “Clipa” journal, the author won the top prize. Now Tania is a member of the team of this journal and studies at the Karol University in the Czech town of Podebrady, the Psychology Faculty. “The author's postmodern age is this book's advantage. Tania Dumbrava expresses her with to be in Prague, where she studies, and simultaneously at home in a sentimental way,” said Calina Trifan, writer, a member of the Writers Union of Moldova. “Tania does not simply write the words, but talks to them and gives them another meaning,” said Iulia Iordachescu, the director of the journal “Clipa”. She added the young people, especially the high school students, like the young author's verses as they are full of youthfulness and tenderness. Poet Emilian Galaicu-Paun said the book is a fresh work with new ideas and views. “When I read the verses the first time, I remained delighted,” he said, stressing that the author has a great future ahead of her. The book was published with the money award “Youth Prize for Literature and Art 2009” given to the journal “Clipa”.
