The ex-governmental agent at ECHR is now the new minister of justice

The minister of Justice Victoria Iftodi was dismissed from her function on Wednesday, September 20, through the decree of R. Moldova’s President, due to a shift to another job position. According to the President’s press service, through another presidential decree, Victoria Iftodi was appointed as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in the French Republic. Head of state appointed Vitalie Parlog, governmental agent of the Republic of Moldova at the European Court for Human Rights (ECHR) from Strasbourg, as minister of Justice. Until now, Republic of Moldova was convicted at ECHR in 36 cases; 14 of them took place in 2005.
