THE BEST INTERNATIONAL PRACTICES FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF e-TRANSFORMATION AGENDA HAVE BEEN PRESENTED IN CHISINAU
Presentation of the best international practices in implementation of e-Government projects and development of a general outlook on e-Transformation agenda of the Republic of Moldova was the goal of the international conference, organized by the e-Government Center within November 16-17 in Chisinau. The event was organized in partnership with software international company SAP, which participated in implementation of various e-Transformation projects in over 20 countries around the world.
Participants in the event, e-Transformation coordinators from ministries and government agencies studied the examples of success in the implementation of e-Government projects in strategic fields, such as: budgetary control and accounting systems, tax management, education, health, social protection, as well as other services provided to regular citizens by state institutions.
„During implementation of e-Government projects, the Republic of Moldova has a tremendous advantage to learn from the experience of other countries developed in this field. Thus, I reiterate Austria, Canada, Lithuania, Singapore, Netherlands, etc. Having revealed in your country a will and a very good readiness for e-Transformation agenda implementation, and if adding here the qualities distinguishing you as a country, such as cultural uniqueness, the majority of people being at least bilingual, I think that you have all the chances to be among the first 20 successful countries in technological modernization of government in next 3-4 years”, stated Emil van Schaik, Senior Vice President EMEA Head of Industries, SAP AG.
SAP, internationally renowned German company, develops software programs for companies and organizations, it has a turnover of over 9 billion €. In September 2009, the company reached, at the global level, over 43.400 customers in over 120 countries.
