Mihail Vlah, an adviser to the Bashkan Evghenia Gutul, has been detained by law enforcers after he urged in a social media post to "kill" current President Maia Sandu and former President Igor Dodon, IPN reports.
The General Inspectorate of Police, announces in a press release, about the search and detention of an adviser to the governor of ATU Gagauzia on the evening of November 8, after he instigated violent actions against a current and former high-ranking dignitary on the same day.
On Facebook, Mihail Vlah called for the murder of the two men out of prejudice. He accused the Party of Socialists of an alliance with the Action and Solidarity Party, saying the alliance "destroyed the country". The counselor urged people to "stop believing Igor Dodon and his satellites, because Sandu is a real and open enemy of the people, and Dodon is a closed one". For this reason, "both of them must be killed," the counselor said.
Subsequently, Mihail Vlah edited his post, replacing the phrase referring to the "killing" of the two dignitaries with the phrase "sweeping away the people".
The councillor detained for 72 hours is now under suspicion for inciting violence, manifested by public incitement, against a category of people on grounds of prejudice.
