For the first in Moldova, they organize a general test census in agriculture. It will roll out till October 25. According to Economy and Trade Minister Igor Dodon, the drive is aimed at testing the software and tools, as the results will be used to define the tasks necessary to hold a proper census, scheduled for 2010, Info-Prim Neo reports. The test census is held in two localities from Causeni district and envisages to gain detailed information on the structure of farming entities, the human resources', land's and technical potential in agriculture, the farming land areas, the number of fruit trees and vines, the number of animals and poultry, of tractors and machinery and the energy potential, the employees in the sector, etc. The census is recommended to be held by UN Food and Agriculture Organization.
