Political analyst Viorel Ciubotaru believes it will be good if the Mayor of Comrat Nicolai Dudoglo accepts the post of deputy governor of Gagauzia that was offered by Governor Mihail Formuzal as this will increase territorial representation in the Executive Committee. The expert stated for Info-Prim Neo that Mihail Formuzal and the previous governors (Stepan Topal, Dumitru Croitor, and Gheorghe Tabunshchik) did not live in Comrat. “If the administration of Gagauzia considers that this will make the management of affairs more efficient, the official Chisinau should welcome such a move,”said Viorel Ciubotaru. In a meeting on February 1, Mihail Formuzal offered Nicolai Dudoglo, who was his main opponent in the elections for Governor, the post of deputy governor. Dudoglo has told Info-Prim Neo that he has not reached a decision yet, but would like to enter the Executive Committee with a team, not alone.
