Blocks No. 1 and No. 3 of the thermoelectric plant CET, Source 1, of joint stock company Termoelectrica are prepared for the winter season, while block No. 2 is under repair. The repair works are late and the contractor that is performing these works will bear responsibility in accordance with the contract provisions, Termoelectrica director Iurie Razlovan stated in reaction to the statements made by Horus Energy, IPN reports.

According to the director, Horus Energy, even if it says that it does not carry out repair works on block No. 2, tangentially bears a part of the blame for the delay as, besides performing particular works, it supplies spare parts and a part was delivered with delay and this fact is known. Termoelectrica is taking the necessary measures to defend its interests.

Iurie Razlovan confirmed that Horus Energy modernized block No. 1 in 2019, but said that the company now stipulates another cost of works, which is different from the main figure provided in the contract, and this cost is two times higher. “Where did they take this figure from? The proper figures are learned when there is a tender contest and there are a number of bidders. Consequently, these are speculations for cheap PR,” stated the company’s director.

He also said that a number of factors enabled the company to make a request to reduce the charges for the heat and electricity it produces and this is not an exclusive consequence of the works to modernize block No. 1. “Things do not stand as they say – that they repaired block No. 1 and the charge will decrease,” noted Iurie Razlovan.

“As I said, this company (Horus Energy, e.n.) has several specializations. If you want to show care for the energy system, connect the residential complex you erected to the centralized system absolutely legally. If you offer these houses a higher load, you will enable the enterprise to work at the best technical and economic parameters,” stated Iurie Razlovan.
