Termoelectrica is connecting an Oncological Institute surgical building to the central heating system, through the ventilation system. In order to complete this goal, a partnership between the Oncological Institute and Termoelectrica was established.
According to a Termoelectrica press release, connection works involve the installation of an Individual Thermal Point (PTI) at the building's service pipe and the reconstruction of a thermal network section, on Korolenko Street, which connects the building to the main network. Heating and corresponding thermal level regulation in the medical building will be provided by a state-of-the-art ventilation system.
The PTI, responsible for providing thermal energy in the building, will automatically ensure the necessary thermal comfort, so that the air temperature corresponds to sanitary regulation indices. Additionally, this installation will allow the hospital building to benefit from heating and hot water all year round and to connect/disconnect the heating services, based on need.
During talks with hospital management, Veaceslav Eni, Termoelectrica general manager, stressed that the company is keeping its promise to the residents of Chișinău, namely to identify and ensure optimal domestic heating and hot water supply solutions (ACM), in the context of energy efficiency, cost savings, comfort and use safety.
This connection method to heating is innovative and has been applied so far to ten Termoelectrica consumers, namely shopping malls and concert halls. So far, ten Oncological Institute buildings are connected to SACET, of which three buildings are surgical and two are designated for patient treatment.
