Termocom delivers heat carriers to consumers according to quality standards, despite the network’s 70% weariness and the lack of investments. The statement was made by company manager Mihail Cernei, during the seminar “Modernization of the management of Chisinau municipal enterprises on the background of European integration efforts”. According to Cernei, most of company’s successes have been achieved thanks to informational technologies, including the implementation of automatic monitor services LOVATI and MONITOR. They record and archive the functioning parameters of main thermal networks, pumping stations, heat sources and central thermal points in charts or graphics. “This allowed us to improve the quality of heat carrier, of hot water supply, to reduce energy and heat carrier losses, to optimize the heat usage by final consumers”, said the Termocom manager. Mihail Cernei added that LOVATI and MONITOR systems timely detected shutdowns and failures within the System of Centralized Heat Supply (SACET). As a result, any problem can now be fixed faster. “The complete project will include the monitoring of two thermal stations, two thermoelectric plants, 20 pumping stations, 450 central thermal points, 3500 individual thermal points, etc”, Cernei said. The Termocom manager also spoke about other control and monitor systems implemented within the enterprise. Besides reducing energy losses, informational technologies helped personnel optimization and cut down production expenses. The real economic effect of reducing expenses between 2001 and 2010 is estimated at 2 billions lei. Currently, Termocom is implementing an integrated management system which is expected to boost strategic planning and management modernization. Termocom was founded in 1966. It produces 30% of Chisinau’s heat supply, the rest being provided by CET-1 and CET-2. The seminar was organized by Chisinau City Hall with support of Crystal System.
