Termocom says it has neither the capacity nor funds to resume hot water supplies

Termocom Company says it has neither the technical capacity nor funds to resume hot water supplies. Company’s commercial director Mihai Arusoi told Info-Prim Neo that the Chisinau City Hall has failed up to the present moment to transfer the first instalment of 50 million lei of the total debt of 151 million owed to the company. Mihai Arusoi said the repairs are still continuing, although they are delayed by the shortage of funds. In the best case hot water supplies could be resumed no later than in 25 days. However, he mentioned that hot water could be partially supplied in Chisinau earlier, via the pipes that have been already repaired. Company’s manager Dionisie Antocel has stated last week that Termocom will resume supplies in a week. The promise was made during a visit paid to Termocom’s offices by Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca , who for his part promised to transfer the 50 million lei instalment to Termocom’s account in a couple of days. Antocel went on to add that the lawsuit against the City Hall over debt recovery could be stopped if the local authorities start clearing the debt. Hot water supplies were disrupted on July 23 in all the apartment houses in Chisinau and were supposed to be resumed on August 13.
