The heat distributor Termocom has resumed the heat supply to Centru and Buiucani districts and the suburbs of the capital. The supplier promises all the building blocks will be receiving the heat by the end of the day (12 November), Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the company's press unit. Some houses already get the heat, the press service says. It takes some 30 minutes for the hot water to reach the radiators. Termocom halted the heat deliveries to Centru and Buiucani districts and the suburbs on November 4, after just one day after starting the heating period. It invoked that natural gas supplier Moldovagaz halted the deliveries to it because of debts. On November 7 , the municipality transferred Termocom 36 million lei from its debt of 176 million, as the money was to reach Moldovagaz. However, on Tuesday, November 11, the consumers living in those sectors did not have heating. In the evening of the same days the local authorities, Termocom and Moldovagaz agreed on a Mamo, later endorsed by the Municipal Council. The Memorandum provides for a heat tariff of 740 lei/Gcal. The residents will pay 540 lei, and the rest will be made up for from the municipal budget. The municipality shall pay off debts of 148 million lei and other 60 million to accrue till the year-end. 70 million are to be borrowed from the Government and must be returned till the year-end. The rest of the money, Council's chairman Eduard Musuc ensures, will be gathered from land sales.
