SA Termocom collected the money needed to pay its debts to the creditors, but cannot do it because somebody is trying to misappropriate this money, the company’s director Mihail Cernei said Monday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. According to Mihail Cernei, the heat supplier owes 63 million lei to its creditors. Termocom gathered 66 million lei, but this money can be distributed only by the company’s administrator Laura Turcan. “In the creditors’ meeting last week, the administrator asked for 10 days to collect the necessary documents and prepare a report. She changed the signature and stamps at Banca de Economii so that only she has access to the account and can perform transactions. We will ask Banca de Economii not to allow withdrawing money, if only there are the signatures of the administrator and the chief accountant. But there are probably involved other persons or institutions,” said Mihail Cernei. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca warned that the debts should be settled so as to finish the plan procedure of SA Termocom. If this is not done, the company may be liquidated. “The administrator of the procedure must distribute the money to the creditors. They should assume responsibility if Termocom goes bankrupt. On the other hand, we hope that the thermoelectric plants CET-2, the creditors and the administrator will be influenced so that the plan procedure is completed,” he stated. Under a Government Decision approved last week, the implementation of the plan procedure of SA Termocom was extended until September 30. Meanwhile, there will be performed the procedures needed to prepare the merger of CET-1 and CET-2.
