The director general of SA Termocom Mihail Cernei has a salary of 20,000 lei. The information was made public during a visit paid by Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca to the heat supplier. The mayor said amendments to the legalities should be made so that the managers of public utilities do not get a salary higher than that of the mayor general, Info-Prim Neo reports. “If you remember, we reduced the salaries at the City Hall, where the law allowed. We limited the pays at the municipal housing stock managing companies to 3 600 lei. The laws regulating the activity of the other companies are over ten years old. I think they must be modified as the pay of company directors should not be higher than the salary in the local administration,” said Dorin Chirtoaca. However, the director of SA Termocom considers that his salary is justified. “My workday starts at 7am and ends at 9pm. I receive the pay according to the law,” Mihail Cernei told the journalists. The mayor has a salary of over 7,000 lei.
