SA Termocom Thursday fled an application to the National Agency for Energy Regulation, asking that it increase the heat charge by 12%, from 821 to 930 lei a gigacalorie, the Agency's director general Victor Parlicov has told Info-Prim Neo. The meeting where the Chisinau heat supplier's application will be examined may take place on Friday, January 28 or next week. On January 26, the national energy regulator raised the natural gas charges for end-users by 12.2% on average, from 4,098 to 4,599 lei per 1,000 cubic meters of gas. The charge for the people who consume up to 30 cubic meters of gas a month will be by 16% higher, while for those who use more than 30 cubic meters a month – by 13.4% higher. The rise for the thermoelectric plants is of 15.5%. The new charges will take effect on February 1.
