Termocom demands increasing heat charge by 3.4%
The Chisinau heat supplier SA Termocom requested the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) to consider increasing the heat charge by at least 3.4%, depending on the fluctuations of the natural gas tariffs. The thermoelectric power plants (CETs) also demand raising the heat and power charges, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In the third public debate meeting centering on tariff adjustment that took place on January 20, officials of Termocom said the heat charge should be increased gradually so that the population is not seriously affected by a sudden rise.
CET-1 demands raising the heat charge by at least 5.3%, CET-2 – by 9%, while CET-Nord – by 6.5%. They also requested that the power charges by increased by 15% and 18% respectively.
According to the ANRE director Victor Parlicov, the figures made public on Thursday do not represent the final tariffs. On Friday, the Agency will hold the last public debate in order to agree the new charges.
In the previous meeting, SA Moldovagaz asked raising the natural gas charges by 17.6% to 4,820 lei per 1,000 cubic meters. The request was made after Russia imposed an average European import price on Moldova on January 1 – about US$300 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas.
