The administration of SA Termocom, in a press statement issued on Saturday, says the decision to use the accounts opened with Victoriabank is a temporary solution that can help avoid the paralyzing of its activity, Info-Prim Neo reports. The heat supplier explains that a court order for levying 19 million lei in favor of Moldovagaz, plus the state tax of about 600,000 lei, was submitted to Banca de Economii on January 21. As Termocom was unable to perform financial operations, it used another bank account that was opened at BC Victoriabank on January 14, 2010. The company says that it opened accounts with a number of banks, including Banca de Economii, Mobiasbanca, and Victoriabank, in order to ensure the reliability of its services. According to Termocom, the account at Victoriabank has been also blocked, earlier this week. Under the court order, the banks are obliged to inform, within ten days, about the accounts owned by the heat supplier and the money that will be transferred to/from the debtors, and to stop the payments and sequester the money.
