SA Termocom urges apartment owners not to modify the internal heating system without authorization. According to a communiqué from the heat supplier, any change of the kind can lead to the disruption of the heat supply, IPN reports.

During the 2012-2013 heating season, unauthorized modifications were identified at 25 addresses. The given blocks were included in the list of buildings with technical faults in the internal heating systems, while the managers were issued with prescriptions for remedying the situation.

The unauthorized changes include the transfer of heating devices to balconies, installation of additional heating systems, modification of the scheme for connecting heating devices, installation of spheroid faucets on boilers, etc. The works to remove the technical faults that are to be performed by building managers in concert with dwellers will be monitored by specialists of the Quality Section of SA Termocom.

Changes in the heating system can be made only after coordinating the modification project designed by a licensed institution with the housing stock managers. The modifications without the required documents are penalized as they cause disruptions to the whole heating system of the building and affect the quality of the heat supply.
