Termocom aims to obtain additional incomes, Moldovagaz
SA Termocom's requests to increase the volume of supplied gas are groundless as the temperatures now are relatively high, the gas public utility SA Moldovagaz says in a statement issued in reaction to the heat supplier's accusations concerning the limitation of the volume of gas supplied to it, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to Moldovagaz, Termocom's administration wants to sell as much heat to the population as possible so as to obtain additional incomes.
The statement says the volumes of natural gas are planned by the companies and the quantities asked for are fully supplied. But lately, SA Termocom and SA CET-2, for subjective reasons, use more natural gas than the projected volumes.
Moldovagaz specifies that in October Termocom was to receive 2 million cubic meters of gas. But on October 24, the volume of gas used by the company exceeded 3 million cubic meters.
The volume of gas supplied in the country depends on the volumes contracted from Russia's gas giant Gazprom. If the natural gas is used in excess, it will be impossible to fulfill the contractual obligations and it will be hard to ensue the transportation of natural gas to the Balkans, Moldovagaz said.
The company also said it asked Gazprom to raise the volume of gas supplied to Moldova. If the request is granted, the companies working in the energy sector will receive the asked for volumes of gas.
Termocom director Mihai Cernei said Monday that he was pressed by Moldovagaz and CET-1 not to use natural gas anymore as the limit for October was exceeded. “Termocom is not guilty that the heating season started earlier owing to the low temperatures,” he stated.
