Tenth Congress of Diaspora to be held during August 18-20

The tenth edition of the Congress of the Diaspora will take place during August 18-20. Secretary of state of the State Chancellery Adrian Băluțel in a press briefing said that the event this year will focus on the services provided by the Government for the citizens from the diaspora and on how better programs can be developed for the citizens from the diaspora to continue to become involved in civic life at home. A business forum for the diaspora was set for August 19, IPN report.

At the end of the Congress, a cultural performance entitled “We wait for you home anytime” will be staged in partnership with Moldova’s Railways.

Carolina Novac, secretary of state of the Ministry of Energy, returned home after living for 11 years abroad. She told the expats that the country undergoes positive changes. A difficult crisis was experienced last year, but now they are working on nationwide projects that can bring about positive changes.
