Moldova’s finest tennis players Radu Albot and Roman Borvanov have been eliminated from the Challengers tournaments this week, Info-Prim Neo reports. Albot was eliminated in the second round of Mersin Cup in Turkey by Netherlands’ Thomas Schoorel, 3-6, 5-7. Radu can get his revenge in the doubles competition, where he reached the semifinals alongside Ukrainian Denis Molchanov. Roman Borvanov suffered defeat at the hands of American Denis Zivkovic, 5-7, 5-7, at the Abierto International AGT Leon tournament in Mexico. Radu Albot and Roman Borvanov are ranked 236th and 240th respectively in the world hierarchy. Both hope to qualify for the second Grand Slam tournament of the year- Roland Garros, which will take place in May, in Paris, France.
