Tennis Federation president injured in car explosion in Chisinau

A VAZ car exploded near the Chinese Embassy situated on Columna St in Chisinau on June 7. The vehicle was destroyed almost completely. A person was rushed to the hospital in a serous condition.
Liliana Puscasu, spokeswoman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the call to 902 was made at 12.15. The firefighters fought to bring the blaze under control for about 20 minutes.
General Police Commissariat spokesman Adrian Jovmir stated for Info-Prim Neo that the president of the National Tennis Federation Igor Turcanu was injured in the blast. He was admitted to the Emergency Hospital in a serious condition.
An investigation is under way.
