Tender contest announced to build Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline

The Economy Ministry has announced the launch of an international tender contest for selecting the company that will carry out the works to construct the Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline that is about 11km long on Moldova’s territory and a gas metering station, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Ministry, the contest is open to those who hold a license for building gas pipes. The key personnel must have at least five years of experience in the field. The applicants should have implemented at least one project of the kind. The offers can be left with the Moldova Energy Project Implementation Unit (MEPIU) until July 22. The Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline will connect the gas pipes of Romania and Moldova and will carry 1.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually. It will be 43.2 km long.
