Ten streets in Hincesti town have been connected to street lighting with 2.5 million lei offered by the governmental Energy Efficiency Fund. The area is inhabited by about one thousand residents.
Hincesti Mayor Alexandru Botnari announced during the inauguration ceremony that this is the first part of a total 6.6 million lei project to be implemented in the municipality, with 10 more streets to follow by the end of the year.
Ghenadie Buza, Hincesti district president, said the project is an important step in the broader process of developing the district. “We are currently negotiating with the central authorities and the development partners to implement a number of infrastructure projects of major importance to our district”, said Buza.
Attending the event, Economy Minister Octavian Calmic stated that implementing projects with a direct impact on people’s living conditions and standards is a priority of the government. “This event is a first step in implementing about 200 infrastructure developments in the local communities, in line with the Government’s efforts to create modern living and working conditions for people in various towns and villages”, stated Calmic.
