Ten personalities awarded at “10 for Moldova” Gala

Ten celebrities from different spheres received awards at the “10 for Moldova” Gala staged by the channel Publika TV. Among the awardees were Prime Minister Iurie Leanc and Deputy Prime Minister Natalia Gherman, IPN reports.

Iurie Leanca was conferred the Politician of the Year prize, while Natalia Gherman received the trophy in the Ministers category. The other top politicians of Moldova are: MP Oleg Babenco, Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca, Head of Parliament Igor Corman, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Vlad Filat, chairman of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu, head of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu, the Communist leader Vladimir Voronin, and President Nicolae Timofti.

Among the top ten ministers are Monica Babuc, Valentina Buliga, Vasile Bumacov, Oleg Efrim, Valeriu Lazar, Maia Sandu, and Andrei Usatyi.

Stefan Fule became the winner in the category Moldova’s Friend. The other finalists are: Jose Manuel Barosso, Traian Basescu, Marius Lazurca, Monica Macovei, Angela Merkel, William Moser, Victor Ponta, Vladimir Putin, and George Soros. Principal of the Tiraspol Lyceum “Lucian Blaga” Ion Iovcev was designated as Hero of the Year.

The Political Analysts category is topped by Igor Botan, followed by Vitalie Andrievschi, Petru Bogatu, Viorel Cibotaru, Corneliu Ciurea, Ecaterina Mardarovici, Valeriu Ostalep, Cristian Tabara, Anatol Taranu, and Octavian Ticu.

Composer Eugen Doga is the winner in the People of Culture category. The finalists in this category are: Nicolae Botgros, Constantin Cheianu, Vladimir Curbet, Nicolae Dabija, Alexandru Grecu, Iurie Harmelin, Vitalie Rusu, Gheorghe Urschi, and Mihai Volontir.

The finalists in the Blogger category won by Veaceslav Balacci are: Veaceslav Burlac, Vitalie Cipileaga, Gheorghe Erizanu, Dragoş Galbur, Corneliu Gandrabur, Eugen Luchianiuc, Valeriu Munteanu, Octavian Ticu, and Svetlana Vizitiu.

Rector of the Technical University of Moldova Ion Bostan was designated winner in the People of Science category. The other nominees were: Ion Ababi, Anatol Ciubotaru, Mihai Cimpoi, Eugen Grebenicov, Aurelian Gulea, Sergiu Musteata, Galina Pislaru, Ion Tighineanu, and Valeriu Pasat.

The trophy in the Businesspeople category went to Anatol Stati. The other finalists are: Ion Dron, Nicolae Chernyi, Ilan Shor, Nelly Sonic, Gabriel Stati, Ion Sturza, Andrei Tranga, Renato Usatyi, and Oleg Voronin.

Constantin Tutu became the Athlete of the Year. The other nine sportspersons who went through to the final are: Radu Albot, Petru Caduc, Tudor Casapu, Pavel Cebanu, Radu Gansari, Cristina Iovu, Oler Sirghi, Octavian Ticu, and Octavian Vucol.

The trophy in the Singers category was given to Nicolae Botgros. Among the other finalists were Ricky Ardeazeanu, Valy Boghean, Dan Balan, Nelly Ciobanu, Olga Ciolacu, Ionel Istrati, Zinaida Julea, Ion Paladi, and Ion Suruceanu.

The excellence trophies were awarded based on nominations made by TV viewers that were afterward the subject of a national opinion poll.
