The annual American Film Festival in Tiraspol, organized by the U.S. Embassy, will take place at the Movievideocenter Tiraspol from June 4 to June 8. The entrance to all screenings is free of charge, IPN reports.

According to a press release from the U.S. Embassy, the theme of this year's American Film Festival is “Comedy Through the Years.” The festival will feature 10 American comedies, from the 1920s right up to recent releases, including action, satire, romantic, children's, and musical comedies.

Ambassador William H. Moser will open the festival on Tuesday, June 4, at 6 pm.
